Job Description:
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced
IT Hardware Repair Personnel (Level 2) to join our team. The successful
candidate will be responsible for reviewing and diagnosing hardware faults in
PCs, laptops, and mobile phones, and carrying out repairs, including microchip
repair, as required. This role requires a strong technical background,
proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, and the ability to perform complex
repairs to ensure optimal functionality of devices.
Responsibilities:
- Review
and assess hardware faults in PCs, laptops, and mobile phones.
- Diagnose
and troubleshoot hardware issues to identify the root cause of problems.
- Repair
and replace faulty components, including microchips, circuit boards, and
other hardware parts.
- Test
and validate repaired devices to ensure proper functionality.
- Perform
data backup and recovery procedures as needed during the repair process.
- Maintain
accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work performed.
- Stay
up-to-date with technological advancements and repair techniques in the IT
hardware industry.
- Provide
technical support to end-users and assist in resolving hardware-related
issues.
- Adhere
to safety and quality standards while handling sensitive equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High
school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical certifications
or vocational training preferred.
- Proven
experience as an IT hardware repair technician, with a minimum of 2 years
of hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting and repairs.
- Proficiency
in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues in PCs, laptops, and mobile
phones.
- In-depth
knowledge of microchip repair and experience working with circuit boards
and electronic components.
- Familiarity
with various diagnostic tools and equipment used in hardware repair.
- Strong
problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet
repair deadlines.
- Excellent
attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective
communication skills to interact with end-users and team members.
- A
customer-focused approach to provide high-quality service and support.
- Comfortable
working in a workshop environment with exposure to electronic components
and repair tools.
