Position- International Tender Officer
Job Summary: The International Tender Officer plays a crucial role in the organization by managing the end-to-end process of bidding for international contracts and projects. This includes preparing and submitting competitive bids, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Management:
- Identify and evaluate international tender opportunities relevant to the organization's expertise and business goals.
- Review tender documents thoroughly to understand the requirements, scope, and evaluation criteria.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the tender process and timelines.
Documentation and Preparation:
- Prepare and compile all necessary documents, including technical and financial proposals, in compliance with tender requirements.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, legal, finance, and other departments to gather relevant information for tender submissions.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to submission deadlines.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure that all tender submissions comply with international and local regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with tender submissions, including legal, financial, and operational risks.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, project management, legal, and finance, to gather necessary information and insights for tender submissions.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with external partners, clients, and subcontractors as needed.
Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to inform bid decisions.
- Stay updated on relevant industry developments and changes in international tendering practices.
Cost Estimation and Pricing:
- Work with financial analysts to develop accurate cost estimations and pricing strategies that ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
Bid Presentation:
- Prepare and present bid proposals to internal stakeholders for review and approval.
- Ensure all bid presentations are clear, persuasive, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
Post-Tender Activities:
- Track and analyze the outcomes of tender submissions and participate in post-tender debriefings.
- Continuously improve the tendering process based on feedback and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, finance, engineering, etc.). A master's degree may be preferred.
- Proven experience in international tender management and bidding processes.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
