Role Description:

1. Job Title: Chartered Accountant (CA) - Freight Forwarding

   Job Summary: As a Chartered Accountant in a freight forwarding company, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability.

   Key Responsibilities:

   1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.

   2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the company's budgeting and forecasting processes to provide insights into financial performance and support decision-making.

   3. 
      

   4. Taxation: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and oversee tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing benefits.

   5. 
      

   6. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage annual financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting principles, international standards, and industry-specific regulations.

   7. 
      

   8. Cost Control: Analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.

   10. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and financial modeling to provide insights into business performance and opportunities for improvement.

   12. Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring the company has adequate working capital to support its operations and growth plans.

   14. Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

   16. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's financial assets and interests.

   18. Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and internal controls to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with regulations.

   20. Financial Software: Utilize financial software and tools for data analysis, reporting, and financial management.

   21. 
       

   22. Team Leadership: If applicable, manage a team of financial professionals, including accountants and financial analysts, and provide guidance and mentorship.

   Qualifications and Skills:

   • A Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
   • Previous experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry is highly preferred.
   • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
   • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems.
   • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
   • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
   • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
   • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
