Job Description

As an Area Manager - HR, you will oversee HR operations for the assigned city, ensuring the effective management of both on-roll and contract employees. Your role will involve collaborating with the corporate recruitment team, handling employee relations, and managing payroll processes. You will drive HR strategies, monitor employee morale, and ensure adherence to HR policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Staffing:

    • Collaborate with the corporate recruitment team to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
    • Identify and anticipate future staffing needs and work on solutions to address them.
  • Employee Relations (ER) / Industrial Relations (IR):

    • Handle and resolve ER/IR issues, ensuring a harmonious workplace environment.
    • Administer new employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Payroll & Compliance:

    • Assist with payroll processing and ensure accuracy.
    • Ensure compliance with HR policies, statutory regulations, and company procedures.
  • Talent Management:

    • Develop and maintain talent management processes to align with organizational goals.
    • Monitor employee morale and foster a positive company culture.
  • Performance & Exit Management:

    • Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
    • Drive performance management initiatives and address performance issues.
  • Policy & Procedure Implementation:

    • Communicate and implement HR policies effectively across the city.
    • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, making updates as needed.
  • Reporting & Budgeting:

    • Prepare periodic reports on manpower metrics and HR audit scores.
    • Create and manage the HR budget for the assigned area.
  • Leadership & Strategy:

    • Lead the HR operations team in alignment with city and regional HR strategies.
    • Design and drive HR strategies to support business expansion and operations in the city.

Education & Experience:

  • MBA/Diploma - HR with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in managing HR operations in complex environments such as logistics, manufacturing, or e-commerce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Behavioral Expectations:

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to think long-term and provide sustainable solutions.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and coaching team members.
  • Capable of multitasking, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel across the city to ensure process compliance.

  • Holds an MBA or HR diploma, is proficient in Microsoft Office, and excels in developing long-term HR strategies.
  • Adaptable, able to work under pressure, and willing to travel to ensure process compliance.
