Job Description:
- The Senior Executive HR will be responsible for overseeing and executing various functions within the
- human resources spectrum. The individual will handle multiple HR activities and contribute to the
- smooth functioning of the HR department.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- · Accurately process and administer payroll for employees.
- · Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions based on provided data.
- · Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments.
- Maintaining Payroll Records:
- · Maintain and update payroll records and employee information.
- · Ensure accuracy in records and compliance with legal requirements.
- · Tax Withholding and Compliance:
- · Calculate and withhold appropriate taxes, including income tax, Social Security, Medicare, etc.
- · Prepare and submit tax forms (such as W-2s, 1099s) to the government authorities.
· Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Keep updated with changes in labour legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
- Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act (CLRA):
- Registration and Licensing: Establishments employing 20 or more contract workers must register, and the principal employer needs to obtain a license to engage contract labor.
- Maintenance of Records: Maintain various registers, such as the muster roll, wage register, and other records, pertaining to contract labor.
- Compliance Notices: Display abstracts of the CLRA Act, wage rates, work hours, and other relevant information at the workplace.
- Payment and Facilities: Timely payment of wages and provision of basic amenities like drinking water, restrooms, and first aid for contract labor.
- Health and Safety: Ensuring safety, health, and welfare of contract laborers, including the provision of protective equipment.
- Annual Reporting: Submission of an annual return to the labor department in the prescribed format.
- Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act:
- Registration: Mandatory registration of establishments involved in construction work and the registration of construction workers with the Welfare Board.
- Welfare Measures: Provision of safety equipment, first aid facilities, and proper living conditions for construction workers.
- Health and Safety: Implementation of health and safety measures at construction sites, and mandatory training on safety and health practices for workers.
- Benefit Provision: Offer various benefits to construction workers, including disability benefits, pension, and education assistance.
- Financial Contributions: Employers need to contribute financially to the Welfare Board for the welfare of construction workers.
- Termination and Compensation: Prohibition of arbitrary termination of workers' services and provision of compensation in case of accidents or death at the construction site.
MBA in HR or a relevant graduate degree.
4 to 8 years of experience in HR functions.
Proficient understanding of payroll processes and statutory compliance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information and maintain discretion.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
Knowledge of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) is a plus.
