      Salary: Hourly basis (No bar for right candidate) 

      Overview:

      We are seeking a skilled Payroll Consultant to join our team on a fixed-term contract. This remote position will play a crucial role in managing our payroll processes and facilitating role transitions within our finance and accounting departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll accounting, payroll services, and the various facets of workforce administration. Additionally, they will have the ability to guide employees through transitions between roles such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking and Treasury, and Fixed Assets.

      Key Responsibilities:

      1. Payroll Accounting:

        • Manage and process payroll transactions accurately and timely.
        • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
        • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
        • Prepare payroll-related reports and documentation for audits.
      2. Payroll Services:

        • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for clients.
        • Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and management.
        • Maintain and update payroll systems with current employee information.
        • Implement and manage payroll policies and procedures.
      3. Concierge Services:

        • Provide personalized support and services to employees regarding payroll matters.
        • Offer guidance on payroll issues, tax withholdings, and deductions.
        • Act as a liaison between employees and payroll service providers.
      4. Contact Centre Operations:

        • Manage payroll-related inquiries through a dedicated contact center.
        • Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
        • Train and support contact center staff on payroll processes and systems.
        • Monitor and improve contact center performance metrics.
      5. Payroll Systems Management:

        • Administer and optimize payroll software and systems.
        • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity.
        • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement system enhancements.
        • Provide training and support to users on payroll system functionalities.
      6. Workforce Administration:

        • Manage employee records and ensure accuracy in the payroll system.
        • Handle workforce data analysis and reporting.
        • Support HR with workforce planning and administration.
        • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
      7. Facilitating Role Transitions:

        • Identify and map out the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), competencies, and learning requirements for various payroll-related roles.
        • Assist employees in transitioning between roles, such as from Payroll Accounting to Payroll Services, or from Payroll to Accounts Payable.
        • Provide guidance on role transitions to positions like Accounts Receivable, Banking and Treasury, or Fixed Assets.
        • Develop career pathways, ensuring employees have a clear understanding of the skills and knowledge required for these transitions.

      Knowledge and Skills:

      • In-depth understanding of KPIs and competencies related to payroll, accounting, and associated financial roles.
      • Ability to facilitate career transitions within payroll-related roles and other finance roles, such as Accounts Receivable, Banking and Treasury, and Fixed Assets.
      • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
      • Familiarity with remote work tools and environments.

      Additional Responsibilities:

      • Support the development of career pathways for payroll and finance staff, enabling career growth and role transitions.
      • Provide comprehensive guidance on the KPIs, competencies, and learning necessary for transitions from roles like ESPS to B2B or B2B to ESPS.
      • Assist employees in understanding the requirements and competencies needed for role changes, such as moving from Payroll to Accounts Payable or from Accounts Receivable to Banking and Treasury.
      • Offer ongoing learning and development opportunities to help employees achieve their career goals.
      • Ensure smooth and feasible transitions between roles by mapping out potential career paths and necessary skill sets.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
      • Proven experience in payroll management and payroll systems.
      • Experience in facilitating role transitions and developing career pathways within a finance or accounting context.
      • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
      • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
