Job Title: HR Business Partner – Project Lead

📍 Location: New Mumbai

💼 Employment Type: Contract (6 Months – Extendable)
💰 Monthly CTC: ₹80,000 – ₹1,20,000

🧭 Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic and proactive HR Business Partner (HRBP) to lead key people initiatives and partner with leadership across the business. This role will support a major HR integration project following a cross-border acquisition, managing employee transitions, aligning policies

As the HRBP, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business and HR leaders, ensuring a smooth integration of employees into a unified HRIS and payroll ecosystem. You’ll work across functions—HR, IT, Finance, and Compliance—while driving change, improving HR processes, and ensuring alignment with both global and local employment laws.


Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Strategy and Alignment:
a) Collaborate with the Client Team to implement global HR strategies and initiatives in India.
b) Ensure that local HR activities are aligned with Clients's Team objectives, way of operating and the Company’s objectives.

2. Employee Relations:
a) Be a primary point of contact for line managers based in India who require coaching and guidance on dealing with HR-related concerns.
b) Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee issues in a timely fashion, conduct investigations, and resolving conflicts in accordance with Indian employment law and in such a way to bring the best outcome for all parties involved.

3. Recruitment and Talent Management:
o Implement talent management and retention strategies to attract and retain key talent in India.
o Support the recruitment process for vacancies in India, including interviewing, advising on candidate decision and engaging new joiners to ensure they are settling in well.
o Collaborate with our Talent Acquisition Specialist Team member based in India to monitor market trends and find solutions on the challenge of skills shortage in the Data Centre industry.
o Support line managers with career development discussions for employees and succession planning initiatives.

4. Compliance and Legal:
o Ensure compliance with all Indian employment laws and regulations.
o Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and advise the client Team and local management team accordingly.
o Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with local laws and support business goals.

5. Performance Management:
o Guide line managers on how to manage performance for their team on an ongoing basis, from goals setting, through to regular talent reviews, 1:1 check in, mid-year and end of year appraisal process, and ensure timely feedback and development plans for employees based in India
o Support managers in addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans.

6. Training and Development:
o Analyse HR data and metrics to identify internal & external trends and opportunities, work through action plans to solve work closely with the client Team to jointly create the correct output for the Company.
o Monitor People Objectives and KPIs each fiscal year and ensure targets are met.

9. Deployment of HR System(s):
o Collaborate with the Project Team to ensure the system build and processes are compliant and aligned to local legislation and policies
o Act as the SME for country specific requirements, identify opportunities for improvements on the current system to drive employee adoption of the new system when implemented


Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in French, German and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working effectively with an internationally disperse People Team, preferably with experience driving corporate initiatives from HQ as well local coordination in Indian.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
