Position Overview:

As the Lead - Compensation, PMS, and HR Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various HR functions including compensation, performance management systems (PMS), and overall HR operations. Your role will ensure the effective administration of HR policies and compliance, enhance employee lifecycle management, and lead HR operations to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Implementation & Documentation:

    • Verify that all HR policies and procedures are well-documented, implemented, and communicated effectively within the organization.
    • Develop a systematic feedback mechanism to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of policies and update them as necessary, considering evolving organizational goals and needs.
  • Internal Audits & Compliance:

    • Create and execute an internal HR audit calendar to ensure that HR practices align with stated policies.
    • Oversee compliance programs including POSH, labour laws, and run compliance-specific training for HR functions.
    • Manage contract labour, third-party workforce compliance, and ensure adherence to labour laws and regulations concerning contract employment.
  • Statutory Compliance & Reporting:

    • Conduct monthly statutory audits of facilities, ensure maintenance of statutory registers and records, and display of required notices.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain and renew licenses for new stores and ensure compliance with Shop Act and Contract Labour regulations.
    • File compliance reports with regulatory agencies and prepare management reports on compliance operations and progress.
  • HR Operations & Manpower Management:

    • Direct the development and implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout the organization.
    • Own and lead the Compliance team in coordination with City HR and HR officers.
    • Ensure accurate manpower metrics and HR audit scores through periodic reporting and reviews with the business.
  • Support for Auditors & Inspections:

    • Provide assistance to internal or external auditors during compliance reviews.
    • Coordinate with regional HR during statutory inspections and report findings to the Regional HR Manager/Corporate HR.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: MBA/Diploma in HR, Masters in Labour Management, or LLB.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in compliance and HR operations, preferably in a multi-unit setup.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of compliance, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), experience managing multi-unit compliance, and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to think long-term and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Willingness to travel across regions to ensure process compliance.

Success Tips/General Remarks:

  • The candidate should have at least 3 years of stability in their current role.
  • Experience in SAP ATS for Payroll Management is required.
  • Age limit: Max 42 years.
  • The role involves working 5 days a week at the Powai Corporate Office.
