Job Title: Accountant

Location: Fermali & Guinea - West Africa

Salary: ₹15 LPA
Experience: 10+ years at a managerial level
Age Preference: 45 years


Job Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial health of the company by overseeing financial operations, preparing key financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in balance sheet preparation, auditing, and working capital management. This position is located in West Africa, requiring strong adaptability and understanding of international financial practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Balance Sheet Management: Prepare and analyze the company's balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Auditing: Conduct internal audits to ensure proper financial control and adherence to legal and regulatory standards. Coordinate with external auditors as needed.

  • Cash Flow Management: Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts, ensuring that the company maintains adequate cash reserves and liquidity for operational needs.

  • Inventory Valuations: Oversee the valuation of inventory, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with financial objectives.

  • Working Capital Management: Efficiently manage working capital, optimizing the use of company resources to meet operational and strategic financial goals.

  • Management Accounting: Provide management with financial insights through detailed reports, analysis, and forecasts, supporting data-driven decision-making.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely submission to management and regulatory bodies.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals. Provide accurate financial forecasts based on current and projected data.

  • Taxation and Compliance: Ensure the company’s tax obligations are met in accordance with local and international regulations. Maintain compliance with financial and legal requirements specific to the West African region.

  • Cost Control: Monitor and manage costs to ensure financial efficiency. Implement strategies to minimize unnecessary expenses while supporting the company’s growth initiatives.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA will be highly preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Experience in international operations, particularly in Africa, is a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and provide insights that support business decisions.

  • Leadership: Proven leadership in managing accounting teams and processes in an international environment.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with international accounting standards, especially IFRS, and local regulations in West Africa.
