Job Description: Production/Plant Head – Acrylic Fiber Manufacturing

Position Titles:

  1. Deputy General Manager (DGM) / Senior Manager – 12+ years of experience
  2. Assistant Manager (AM) / Manager – 10+ years of experience

Location: Near Rudrapur

Industry: Acrylic Fiber Manufacturing

Qualification Required: B. Tech in Chemical Engineering or equivalent in a relevant field

Salary Range:

  • DGM/Senior Manager: ₹12 - 15 LPA
  • AM/Manager: ₹8 - 12 LPA

Job Responsibilities

1. Production Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end production processes for acrylic fiber, ensuring efficient operations, consistent quality, and high yield.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for production efficiency, waste reduction, and product quality; implement corrective measures as required.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure availability of raw materials in alignment with production plans.

2. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze existing production processes, identifying areas for optimization to improve cost efficiency, energy usage, and overall output.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) to minimize waste, reduce downtime, and improve product quality.
  • Implement technology upgrades and automation to streamline production workflows and enhance operational performance.

3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to maintain consistent product standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop production teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of production staff.
  • Establish communication channels and workflows between departments to optimize collaboration and ensure seamless operations.

5. Maintenance and Asset Management:

  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure regular upkeep of equipment, minimizing breakdowns and unscheduled stoppages.
  • Oversee plant asset management and collaborate with the engineering team to execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
  • Manage capital expenditure for plant upgrades, equipment replacements, and process improvements.

6. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management:

  • Uphold stringent health and safety protocols within the plant, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct regular HSE audits, assessments, and training programs to instill safety consciousness among employees.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure compliance with environmental standards.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of acrylic fiber manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and manage personnel across various functions.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address operational challenges effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members, suppliers, and senior management.

Experience Required:

  • DGM/Sr. Manager: Minimum 12 years in production/plant management roles in the chemical or fiber manufacturing industry.
  • AM/Manager: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a strong background in production and process optimization.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of plant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and production planning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
