• Function: Operation
• Reports To: Operation Incharge
• Grade: M5/M6
• Position Summary/Job Purpose: Ensure Efficient, safe, reliable operation of Unit during the shift

Job Requirements:

• Qualification: B.E - Mechanical / Electrical / C&I/ EEE/ ECE/ Power
• Work Experience: 2-3 Years in more than 100MW capacity PF Boiler unit with skill sets/exposure
• Special Requirements: BOE/ NPTI(BE/PGDC) Preferred

Essential Skills:

Hands-on experience on DCS Operation of Boiler, Turbine and auxiliaries, Generator and Switchgear Operations.
Great exposure to startup, shutdown, and emergency handling of units.
Analytical approach and digital enthusiast for optimizing operational KPIs.
Ability to assess operational issues, troubleshoot, and make balanced decisions.
Monitoring unit performance, including trend analysis.
Sharing knowledge and creating a learning environment.
Understanding cost implications and achieving cost reduction goals.

• ERP usage like SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise operational activities of the Unit during the shift.
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conduct training and development sessions, implement SOPs, and review their effectiveness.
• Optimize the operational parameters, protection, and interlocks for efficient and reliable operation of the unit.
• Ensure safe startup and shutdown of the unit.
• Respond promptly to emergencies arising in unit operations.
• Maintain log sheets accurately.
• Ensure safety of personnel and the unit through the Permit-To-Work (PTW) system and strict compliance with SOPs.
• Continually reduce emissions and initiate Waste Control Initiatives.
• Foster a learning environment for field engineers by sharing knowledge and experiences.
• Provide input for operational planning, startup, and shutdown procedures.
• Coordinate with field engineers and service provider employees.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during planned and breakdown maintenance activities.
