Job Description:

1. Preparation of monthly & yearly Profit & Loss and Balance sheet:

   • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare accurate monthly and yearly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
   • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations during the preparation process.
   • Review and reconcile financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.

2. Handling day-to-day Plant Accounting:

   • Manage all aspects of accounting operations related to the manufacturing plant.
   • Record and monitor financial transactions, including purchases, sales, expenses, and inventory.
   • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all plant-related financial activities.

3. Budgeting, Costing & MIS:

   • Develop annual budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
   • Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
   • Implement and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) to track financial performance and provide timely reports to management.

4. Daily & monthly cash flow management:

   • Forecast cash flow requirements and manage cash flow operations on a daily and monthly basis.
   • Monitor cash inflows and outflows, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet financial obligations.
   • Implement strategies to optimize cash management and minimize risks associated with cash flow fluctuations.

5. Supervision of production & consumption accounting:

   • Oversee the accounting processes related to production activities, including inventory valuation and cost allocation.
   • Monitor production costs and analyze variances to identify areas for improvement.
   • Ensure accurate recording of production-related expenses and reconciliation with inventory records.

6. Management of Accounts payable & Accounts receivable:

   • Manage accounts payable functions, including vendor payments, invoice processing, and reconciliation.
   • Supervise accounts receivable processes, including billing, collections, and credit management.
   • Monitor aging of receivables and implement strategies to minimize bad debts and improve cash flow.

7. Handling of direct & indirect taxation:

   • Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws and regulations.
   • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely, including GST, TDS, and income tax returns.
   • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advising management on potential impacts and implementing necessary adjustments.

8. Handling of Fixed assets register:

   • Maintain a comprehensive Fixed Assets Register, recording all fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
   • Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
   • Calculate and record depreciation expenses in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Additional Instructions:

• The expected CTC should not exceed 20-25% of hike from his current CTC and must be in the budget.

Who is an Ideal Candidate?

Ideal Profile: We are seeking a qualified CA male candidate with 8-10 years of experience for the position of Head of Accounts & Finance. Reporting to the Director & Group CFO, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing monthly and yearly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets. They should be proficient in day-to-day Plant Accounting, budgeting, costing, and MIS. Experience in managing cash flow, production & consumption accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable is essential. The candidate should have expertise in handling direct and indirect taxation, as well as fixed assets register management. Teamwork skills, knowledge of SAP FICO & MM module, proven analytical ability, and strong communication (written + oral) skills are required. Sincerity towards work is a must.
